Aside from the traditional signage on your front lawn, there are other ways to use technology to more effectively market your home or property - at little to no cost.
Each property listed on the For Sale By Owner web site is automatically indexed
on Google and several other search engines. This helps buyers find your property
directly on most popular engines when searching there, and it helps drive buyers
to our site with each new listing that is added.
You can and should use other FREE posting sites like Kijiji, Craigslist and Trovit. These
sites also allow you to post your property for free. In the ads on other sites, many of our
sellers include their FSBO listing number, and a link to their ad on our site. Collectively,
this also helps drive traffic to our site, and each of our sellers benefits from it.
Running print ads in the classified section of your local newspaper(s) can also help draw
attention to your home advertised for sale on the Internet. Using 3 or 4 lines of text to
describe your home, and adding your FSBO listing number can draw more buyers to your
online show-home. Most newspapers have web sites you can post ads on as well.
Some use a paid model, while others are free.
Use Social Media! Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, are all great ways to promote the fact that
your home is for sale to friends and family, and to their friends and family as well.
A personalized video of your home's key features, and the area you
live in, can be a very effective way to showcase your home.
