How to add a listing on ForSaleByOwner.ca
Click on the "List Property for Free" button on the home page or in the main navigation. In order to add a listing, you first need to create a private seller or realtor account. Assuming you have already done this step, click on the "Existing Users" button. You'll need to login if you aren't already, so simply enter your email and password, leaving the account selection as-is, then click on the big, green "Log In" button. (NOTE: the account selection toggle has been removed as of July 17th, 2012, but you can still log in the same way.)You will automatically be redirected to Step 1 of the "Add Free Listing" page. Fill out the form as completely as possible so that potential buyers can get an excellent idea of your property's features. If you're unsure about how to fill out certain fields such as "Nearby Cities" and the "Open House Schedule", you will find links on this page with more information. When you've completed this step, proceed to Step 2 by clicking on the big, green "Continue" button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to upload photos of your property. Listings with multiple photos get up to 10 times the viewings over listings without photos, so we highly recommend that you do this step.
Click on the big, green "Continue" button to go to Step 3. Now you can see a preview of your listing, exactly as it will appear when you're ready for it to go live. You can either click on the "Edit your listing" link to go back and change something, or activate it instantly.
