The village of Nimpo Lake is 300 km west of Williams Lake. The resort is half way between Nimpo Lake and Anahim Lake, which has a school, cafe, grocery stores, library, RCMP post and rodeo grounds. Bella Coola, the access to the Great Bear Rain Forest, is a 2 hour drive west of Nimpo Lake. We are on the "circle tour" of the BC Ferries route from Port Hardy to Bella Coola and up through the Chilcotin to the Cariboo.

Nimpo Lake Resort has been in operation since the 1950s and has a steady customer base and a strong online reputation and presence. Situated at the quiet north end of Nimpo Lake (7 miles long), this property is a rare find. The business is a small, intimate operation, with 5 cabins and 3 RV/camp sites, all with stunning lake and mountain views. The 6.5 acre property also contains several outbuildings that support the business. There are 2 residential houses on the property. The current owners house is a 4 bedroom house, completely renovated inside and a new roof, insulation, fascia, and soffits done in 2019. The 2nd is occupied by the former owner. It is a newer 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom log house with a large carport and garage/ workshop. That house and 2 cabins were built by Pioneer Log Homes (the Timber Kings).

The current owners (since 2009) have done extensive renovations including a new, treated water system with all new connections to all buildings and pump house with treatment equipment. 4 of the 5 cabins have been upgraded with many new amenities and new interiors and satellite tv. All cabins come fully equipped with furniture, bedding and kitchen utensils. All cabins are heated with woodstoves and all but one have indoor bathrooms with showers. The current owners also added a large, screened-in gazebo, with fire place, books, games, and music for the guests to enjoy, as well as a new guest patio with a shade pergola and a gas fireplace. There is a play ground area for children.

The camping area could be developed into more cabins to increase revenues. The resort is currently run May to early October, but that season could be extended, again to increase revenues.

Fishing is the big attraction at Nimpo Lake, but many guests also come for the pristine wilderness, to enjoy paddling, hiking, ATVing, horseback riding or just enjoying nature. The lake has an abundance of wild rainbow trout and is a well known fly fishing destination. The nearby Dean River is also a big draw for fly fishing.

The resort has a fleet of boats for guests use: 5 aluminum 12 & 14 foot fishing boats with both gas motors and electric trolling motors; and 18 foot pontoon boat; 3 kayaks, 2 canoes, 2 paddle boards and 2 pedal boats. Some guests choose to bring their own boats, and launch them on the concrete launch, with mooring available on the dock.

Videos of the resort and renovations are available to interested buyers. There is a long list of Chattels included in the sale which can also be provided. This is a turn-key business, for someone to take over and run without making any immediate changes. The owners will provide transition assistance and access to customer information and online marketing sites in use.

The resort can be run as seasonal, or have some additional heating added in the cabins for winter use. Both houses are occupied year round, however the owners usually choose to leave in winter and have a house sitter stay. The owners are not adverse to having a new owner use the property for private, non-resort use.
