The main bedroom is on the ground floor and it features a sliding door out to the wrap around sundeck. The bathroom has a composting toilet as well as a walk in shower and vanity. The appliances are a Rinnai on demand propane hot water heater, a 10ft3 propane fridge/freezer and a built in 3 burner range and oven.

The cabin is totally off grid and has a full PV system that includes 2-220 watt solar panels that can be easily expanded, a Outback charge controller and a 2000 watt Xantrex inverter that feeds a bank of 6 volt batteries. In addition there is a Honda 2000 EU standby generator with a wired connection to a built in 40 amp Xantrex marine battery charger. Water is obtained by rain water harvesting from the metal roof that is held in a 1200 gallon tank under the cottage. This water is pressurized, filtered and treated with UV. All lighting in the cottage is either CFL or LED.

There is a wrap around sundeck on the cottage as well as a number of decks and stairs that lead to the waters edge.
