We stumbled upon this property in 2016. At that time it was vacant and up for sale. In it's glory days, the building housed the restaurant formerly known as Deer Park Restaurant. There was also a two-lane bowling alley on the second floor of the building! We fell in love with the idea of revitalizing the building and the property. So, on May 25th, 2017, we purchased it and that was the beginning of a two year renovation and transformation of the property! The zoning was changed to R1Estate, with a home-based business minor AND major. This gave us (and future owners) options!! The building is 7940 square feet in size and was built by a local builder (he actually still lives up the road from us) in the mid 1990's. Of that space close to 7200 square feet has been transformed. We have a 180 degree uninterrupted view of the Monashee Mountain Range and we sit on the edge of a Vernon Park. The park as it currently stands, is beautiful! A quiet, serene meadow. AND it is slated for a makeover this spring/summer!! The tennis court and pickle ball courts will be revamped, more trees will be planted, maybe even a small playground will be put in, just to name a couple of likely improvements. It is a very quiet park....home to deer, the odd racoon and a small porcupine that wonders out on the edge of the meadow sometimes.

The acreage has a large paved parking lot and a long private lane into the property from Tronson Road. We also built a road around to the back of the house where we park our vehicles. We also have a firepit area and a fully fenced in, 575 squre ft, above ground garden, in the back. For landscaping, we worked with what we had, putting most of our effort, to date, in doors, with the outdoor emphasis on cleanup and and low maintenance garden/patio areas.

In May of 2019 we launched our airbnb/retreat venue. We entertained groups/guests and held retreats for much of 2019. We had a great first season and are on course for another one this year.
