"If you are willing to do the research/work and stay on top of things, this is a great option. For a comparatively low cost, you get exposure to MLS (absolutely crucial). However, you should know that the FSBO agent will only list your home on realtor.ca, using info you supply, you do the rest.
I liked being able to provide whatever information I wanted (e.g. link to utilities cost spreadsheet) and to be able to format text/presentation (bullets, layout, ...) on the FSBO website. Note that you cannot do that on the more limited realtor.ca website.
Although we had a unique home in a small market (rural, small town), it only took about 4 months from listing to sale. So, if you're a good photographer and are willing to do the work, I would say, go for it. To properly price your home, I would highly recommend obtaining an appraisal. This will allow you to gauge the reasonableness of any offer."
